Our team was tasked with designing the digital experience for the Innovation Hub of one of India’s premier technological institutes, IIT Delhi.

We aimed to create a user-centric platform that would cater to various stakeholders, including researchers, students, industry partners, and the general public.

  • CHALLENGE: The Innovation Hub at IIT Delhi faced the challenge of establishing itself as a leading authority in Co-Botics research and application. With the rapidly evolving landscape of technology and innovation, there was a need to create a digital platform that would effectively showcase the institute’s research, facilitate collaborations, and disseminate knowledge to a global audience.
  • ISSUES: Lack of Clarity in Content Organization: The existing content structure lacked clarity and coherence, making it difficult for users to navigate and find relevant information easily.

    Limited Engagement: Despite having valuable research and resources, the existing website failed to foster meaningful engagement and collaboration among users, resulting in underutilization of the platform.

    Accessibility Challenges: The website’s accessibility features were not optimized, potentially excluding users with disabilities from accessing and engaging with the platform effectively.
  • USER CENTRIC DESIGN APPROACH: We adopted a user-centric design approach, conducting extensive research to understand the needs, preferences, and pain points of different user segments. This informed the development of personas and user journeys, guiding the design process to prioritize user needs and enhance usability.
  • INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE REDESIGN & ACCESSIBILITY OPTIMISATIONWe revamped the website’s information architecture to improve discoverability and accessibility.
    Clear categorization of content and intuitive navigation pathways were implemented to facilitate seamless user interactions.
    Accessibility was a top priority throughout the design and development process

Result

The implementation of the redesigned website disrupted the traditional approach to academic website design by introducing innovative features and functionalities that fostered collaboration, engagement, and knowledge dissemination.
