Subaccount Onboarding

The executive summary metrics, encompassing aspects such as process requests, regional distribution, requestor breakdown, product distribution, and priority breakdown, were previously showcased in PowerPoint format during the Monthly Business Reviews.

About
the project

  • PROBLEM: The existing presentation of KPI metrics through a Power BI dashboard replaces the previous method of showcasing the same data in a PowerPoint deck. However, despite the transition to a more dynamic format, there are several challenges:
    • The Power BI dashboard lacks an intuitive design, hindering the efficient interpretation of KPI metrics.
    • Structural and precognitive processing issues arise, impacting the user's ability to comprehend the presented information effectively.
    • The layout and info-architecture of the dashboard prove to be difficult to learn, potentially limiting its usability.
  • Issues: The existing presentation of KPI metrics through a Power BI dashboard replaces the previous method of showcasing the same data in a PowerPoint deck. However, despite the transition to a more dynamic format, there are several challenges:
    • Usability and Comprehension:
      • The non-intuitive design of the Power BI dashboard poses challenges for users in understanding and navigating the displayed KPI metrics.
      • tructural and precognitive processing issues hinder the seamless interpretation of data.
    • Learning Curve:
      • The layout and info-architecture of the dashboard contribute to a steep learning curve, making it challenging for users to quickly grasp the content.
  • User-Centric Design: To address the identified challenges and enhance user satisfaction, a user-centric design approach is crucial:
    • Recognize the diverse user base, including those responsible for processing requests, regional stakeholders, requestors, and those concerned with specific products and priorities.
    • Anticipate the unique needs of each user type and tailor the design to fit their individual requirements, ensuring a more user-friendly and personalized experience.
  • Advanced Analytics Integration: Considering the low levels of usability and value output, advanced analytics integration becomes imperative:
    • Implement robust data visualization techniques within the Power BI dashboard for a more insightful representation of KPI metrics.
    • Integrate advanced analytics tools to extract meaningful patterns, trends, and actionable insights from the presented data.
  • Disruption:To ensure the Power BI dashboard remains competitive and aligns with market preferences:
    • Conduct a thorough analysis of market offerings and competitor strategies.
    • Anticipate emerging trends and preferences in data presentation.
    • Design the Power BI dashboard with a homogenous approach, incorporating the latest features.
    • Adopt a modular design to facilitate future expansions while prioritizing attentive preprocessing and minimizing cognitive load for the user.
