The technological landscape in India has been rapidly evolving, and renowned academies the world over have been competing for dominance in emergent spheres,
like Cobotics. Academic institutions like IIT Delhi play a pivotal role in driving innovation and research in such areas, in the country. IIT Delhi performs the pivotal
role of a platform for the enthusiastic talent, experienced guidance and seasoned industry support to come together and solve the problems of current times
using Co-botics.
To achieve this purpose, an online platform, that could serve as a junction for the targeted User types by studying & designing for their specific needs, was required.
Approach Identification
Understanding the competitive landscape and user expectations was critical to positioning the Innovation Hub as a leader in Co-botics research. This project required a departure from the traditional “Persona” Approach, and necessitated we look at the broader picture, using the “User Archetype” approach. Identifying the archetypes and designing for their needs to maximise outreach and user exploration was critical.
Solution
Primary Objective being knowledge dissemination, the website needed a content heavy structure. We designed a website that adhered to usability guidelines, ease of use, eliminate visual overload, while catering to academic sensibilities of a very wide spectrum of audience, to create an interface that was clean, easy to navigate and inviting to explore while not being a burden on the memory.
